About Me

Hi, I’m Neera.

I began my psychedelic healing journey in 2016, when I started using these powerful medicines on my own. Diagnosed with depression, ADHD, and Narcolepsy, I was on multiple medications, drinking heavily, struggling in my marriage and lacking purpose in my career. In 2018, I finally hit rock bottom both physically and emotionally, and I knew I had to make major changes. I started using psychedelics, specifically Psilocybin mushrooms, more intentionally in conjunction with traditional psychotherapy. I was able to lift my depression, cure my sleep disorder, get off all pharmaceuticals, quit drinking, leave my marriage and dramatically change my lifestyle. However, I was still struggling with relationships and low self-worth.

When I finally obtained the guidance of a shaman in a ceremonial setting in early 2022, my healing and growth skyrocketed. In just a few sessions, I was able to see blind spots in my behavioral patterns that had long affected my relationships with myself and others. Most importantly, I had gained the sense of purpose that I’d been searching for. I knew I wanted to help others overcome their struggles as I had- and I finally saw the value in having a psychedelic guide. I enrolled in Psychedelic Sitter School, run by the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness, where I was introduced to Cannabis-Assisted Psychedelic Therapy™. I completed two levels of training, during which I sat in 10 guided Cannabis/Breathwork ceremonies before beginning to practice on my own. I didn’t expect Cannabis to be as powerful as other psychedelics I had tried, so I was shocked when my very first experience with this modality lead to an intense somatic trauma release, followed by the most spiritual experience of my life up to that point. The result of this work, along with yoga, meditation and movement practices, has been nothing short of total personal transformation, elevating my level of consciousness and helping me to rewrite my personal story from the ground up. It has helped me begin to love myself for the first time. I became passionate about learning even more about the art of space-holding. Afterwards I began to explore other healing modalities based on somatic experiencing, completing the NEO Emotional Release training program in 2023 and incorporating bodywork into my practice.

After I completed the training with NEO Emotional Release, I moved to Mexico where I lived on and off for 10 months, connecting with teachers, attending ceremonies, working with different plant medicines, practicing sound healing, and deepening my relationship to the Earth. Currently I reside in Los Angeles, and as of 2025 have guided over 100 solo sessions and group ceremonies.

I believe this work is vitally important to the planet. Unhealed trauma literally kills people- it creates unhealthy self-soothing patterns like overeating, substance abuse, isolation, alcoholism, and leads directly to physical ailments like ADHD, depression, anxiety, obesity, heart disease and even cancer, not to mention suicide. But more insidiously, it can sabotage relationships and life-satisfaction and create an apathetic, pleasure-seeking mindset that is ultimately destructive to the environment.

When we don’t care about ourselves, when we don’t love ourselves, we cannot truly love others. And we can’t love the planet.

And it’s not enough to simply repeat “I love myself” in the mirror every day. You have to get to the root of your pain, which is often buried very deeply in the subconscious, inaccessible. You have to take a hard, honest look at your beliefs and your behaviors.

You might say, if asked, “Of course I love myself.”

But your actions, and your body, may tell a totally different story.

How do you treat yourself? How do you allow yourself to be treated? How do you treat others?

Psychedelics are not a silver bullet. But they are a tool.

Psychedelics are powerful because they can bypass our default psychological defense mechanisms. They can show you what’s hidden and help you release emotions. But once you open that door, it’s vitally important to integrate what you learned and make changes so you don’t just fall back into the same old patterns.

This is where other modalities come in, like traditional therapy, yoga, meditation practices, physical and creative activities.

But nothing is more important than healthy community support.

I am deeply passionate about psychedelic therapy and its potential to help treat the mental health crisis that is ravaging modern society. I desire to hold the hands of those who are struggling, walk alongside them, using my experience to help shorten their path when possible. Creating a beautiful, safe environment and holding space for others, bearing compassionate witness and providing support to those going through their healing process is the most rewarding work I can imagine.
